THE PRESENT: Musical future? well, Soundclick for me is now done. Marked up 100 Number 1 positions on these amusing Charts. Certainly not leaving and will pay a "Fingerful of Dollars" occasionally :) THE PAST: I was born a handful of years after end of WW2 in Stockport UK (what is now part of Greater Manchester). My parents were Bill and Alice Gay of Heaton Norris, This bears no ID Security risk as this is not my surname now. I spent my childhood in Heaton Norris and through to my early 30s. By this time I had ceased working as a Musician and was Married to Susan, and we had an amazing thriving Magic Entertainment business visiting the homes of well known Sports, TV etc personalities, as well as touring with Marionette Cabaret in England and Wales for large Holiday (Vacation) Companies. We lived then in the "so-called" upmarket town of Wilmslow, Cheshire, England. We retired in 2019 just two months prior to Covid Pandemic, living where we are today - "somewhere" very rural in North Staffordshire, England. I owe my musical roots to parents and family on my father's side, to a Dancing Teacher Aunt called Joan Bates of Heaton Moor, Stockport on my mother's side, to an excellent Music Teacher in Heaton Norris who taught under The Trinity College of Music London Syllabus. I was enabled at age 15 to play at Kings Hall, Belle Vue, Manchester by Joan Bates for her shows there; I also worked Bands - one in particular in partnership with Guitarist Alan Yates of Altrincham UK which went through an amazing short spell at top venues in the North West England; many Manchester Clubs playing for Cabaret and Dancing on (hopefully) Hammond Organs; and also three "ok-ish" years 1977-79 in Prestatyn, North Wales for "what was then" (questionably) a reasonably nice Holiday Company called Pontins with venues also all over the UK and many in Europe. THE FUTURE: To stay healthy, wealthy and wise. Myself and Sue enjoy a life of financial freedom, of being able to get on a plane to sunshine and warmth anytime we wish. So that's it (if you are still awake)! Thanks again for calling. I check pianist@tutamail.com once every week or so.
